“For The First Time, Fonsi Causes Sensation in Altos De Chavón”
Nueva York, NY.- The long-awaited artist throughout the evening opened the scene with the famous single “Me Gustas Tú”, while a rain of lights fell over the scandalous scenery of Altos de Chavón. By the third song, “Tu amor”, it was already possible to appreciate the excellent musical coordination, lights and special effects. “A very good evening to you all, Altos de Chavon” were his first words with a visibly excited public.
Fonsi, through an obvious excitement driven by the Dominican audience immediately expressed, “What a blessing it was to be able to firmly arrive to Chavón. For the first time in this beautiful place. Later he excitedly added: “This is not a concert: This is a party!”. That is how the charismatic Puerto Rican artist created a quaint environment at the spectacular event, pointing out the presence of his aunts amongst the audience and affirming that the Dominican Republic is his second home: “It’s not just another country”. “La mentor”, “Aunque estés con él”, “Imagíname sin ti”, “Abrazar la vida” are only a few of his repertoire of 21 songs performed by the artist that evening; the majority sung along to by the attendees with all their might.
It was a mix of older and newer singles equally successful, such as “Claridad”, which he sang to close the show, after saying goodbye at 11:15 and returning to perform 2 more songs.
